2017 Eco-living Fair

When: Sept. 3, 2017

Live the green dream at
Randwick Council’s 2017 Eco-living Fair

Pack your reusable coffee cup in your canvas shopping bag, hop on your bike and head down to Randwick Council’s Eco-living Fair on Father’s Day Sunday 3 September 2017 to learn the new, easy ways to reduce, re-use, recycle and compost.
Small changes lead to big impacts is the message at this year’s fair, which will show zero-waste warriors and eco-newcomers alike how to live sustainably and reduce their ecological footprint - particularly in the areas of energy, water consumption and waste.
There will be:

  • Sustainability experts and designers on hand.
  • Market stalls promoting and showcasing environmental friendly homewares, gifts and products from across the Eastern suburbs and wider Sydney.
  • Live music.
  • Children's entertainment including eco-stage shows, gardening workshops, recycled arts and crafts, native wildlife exhibits and much more.
  • Workshops and demonstrations with an environmental focus, including free bicycle maintenance workshops and experts who will answer questions on keeping bees and chickens, and sustainable food production.

The event is powered by renewable forms of energy including wind, solar and bio-diesel and Council is giving away more than 3,000 trees to visitors to help offset the carbon used in the event's infrastructure delivery and operation. Food scraps will be collected and composted and left-over food collected for donation.
