Any home made recipes for getting rid of fruit flies attacking my tomatoes and capsicums?

Most of the tomatoes/capsicums grown in summer have been attacked by fruit flies unless I picked them while they are still green.

  • If you have access to worm juice you can dilute some in a spray bottle and spray your plants. Just make sure you wash them well before you eat them.

  • Try home-made chilli and garlic spray. Powdered chilli and mashed garlic in water for a few days then strain and dilute and spray on. Experiment with concentrations. Vassili's garden site gives more info. Good for lots of pests.
