Do worm farms accept/eat old rice ?

  • Yes but if you have a lot (more than a few hundred grams) then put it in at about 300gm a week, spread it out over the entire surface (don't make a pile) and ensure you cover it over the intervening period with other kitchen scraps.
    It gradually sinks down, heats up an absorbs moisture to allow the worms to go to work - but it takes time and like anything: too much at a time is bad.
