Have you ever been to Barrett House?

Barrett House is a sustainable demonstration project that follows the permaculture design principles both inside and out - often showing two or three different approaches to retrofitting for sustainability to suit every size and shape of house and of course every budget - all to help you make your place a more sustainable and comfortable home to live in!

With a range of modern retrofit features on show.. including the latest in LED lights, solar tubes for natural lighting, a solar heating and cooling system, 9,000 litres of inter-connected rainwater tanks, retrofitted double glazing, innovative kitchen unit using Australian plantation Hoop Pine, cool cupboard for keeping foods cool but non-refrigerated, natural oil floor sealer, eco-paints and more… including our edible cottage and footpath gardens.
