i have grubs and lots of them in my compost bin what should I do

  • This depends on the type of grubs. My suspicion is they are soldier fly larvea (look like large segmented maggots, but they get dark grey and tougher looking as they get older. they are a baby stingless wasp). If this is the case they aren't a problem and they help your compost work extra fast. they can liberate moisture from your scraps very quickly so be sure to add a little more dry gardens craps and stir a little more often if you are finding they are making your compost too wet.
